Workshop on Language Analysis in the determination of national origin On Thursday, 21 June 2007, a workshop took place at the University of Amsterdam titled Language Analysis in the determination of national origin. This workshop was jointly organised by De Taalstudio and was connected to the general conference of the Society for Pidgin and Creole Languages and the Associação de Crioulos de Base Lexical Portuguesa e Espanhola. Sociolinguistics Symposium 16 On 7 July 2006, a workshop took place titled Language Analysis in Refugee Status Determination. The workshop was organised by De Taalstudio and was part of the 16th biannual Sociolinguistics Symposium, which took place at the University of Limerick this time. International Association of Forensic Linguistics 2005 On 3 July 2005, a symposium took place titled Language analysis in asylum cases: defining a new branch of forensic linguistics. This symposium was organised by De Taalstudio and was part of the biannual conference of the International Association of Forensic Linguistics (www.iafl.org).
